The territory is primarily residential with an important agricultural sector which is renowned for its production of apples and other market products,
The Régie de police du Lac des Deux-Montagnes also protects a number of schools, parks, marinas as well as a vast bicycle path network.
Le Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is currently under construction and when completed, will have two (2) stations in Deux Montagnes.
